Broken Fingers

Broken Fingers is a jazz band based in Athens, performing compositions from guitarist-composer Giorgos Daskalakis. The band was formed in June 2009 in Amsterdam. After performing a mixed repertoire of jazz standards and original compositions at several jazz venues, the band started focusing on presenting own material.
In September 2010, the trio became a quintet with the addition of piano and soprano saxophone. With this line up, Broken Fingers appeared at the 2nd jazz festival of Kalamata in August 2011.
In September 2011, Broken Fingers formed a steady line-up as a quartet (gtr,sx,bs,dr) with occasional additions of guest musicians and in July 2012 they appeared at the 2nd Agrinio Jazz Festival in Greece.
