The Ghost Notes is a Gypsy Jazz band formed in Greece in 2012 by guitarist and Berklee Scholarship Awardee Jim Politis.
They play traditional Gypsy Jazz tunes, Django Reinhardt pieces, and original compositions that present a modern approach to Gypsy Jazz.
The Ghost Notes’ debut album ”Jazzy-Key” was released in April 2013 and includes original Gypsy Jazz compositions and Django Reinhardt covers.
Following the release of their first album, and numerous concerts in Greece, the band had their first European tour in May 2013, playing live in Athens (Greece), Florence (Italy), Bologna (Italy), Prague (Czech Republic), Berlin (Germany), Brussels (Belgium), Maastricht (Netherlands), London (UK), and Llantrisant (Wales). They also appeared live at the European Music Day Festival in Greece (June 2013), Athens Djangofest Festival (October 2013), and have been featured in the 2013 summer issue of ”B.M.G Magazine” – the oldest fretted instrument publication in the world, founded in England in 1903.
