Bass player

Born 1964 in Athens. He studied bass at the Athens Conservatory and at the National Auditorium. John papatriantafilou has a diploma degree on double bass from Takis Kapogiannis and he has studied jazz with Wayne Dockery,Ron Mc Clure,John Goldsby και Curtis Lundy. He has important collaborations with leading Greek and foreign artists in concerts and recordings. Among these are Ralph Peterson, Jimmy Cobb, Alex Foster, Ron Afiff, Soweto Kinch, Abraham Wilson, Miles Grifith, Ray Santisi, Tony Remy, Takis Paterelis,George Kontrafouris Dimitris Tsakas,Antonis Andreou Dimitris Kalatzis,George Trantalidis, Alexander Ktistakis, Giotis Samaras Giannis Floros,Stratos Vougas etc.
His discography also includes the «East Vision» (East Vision Group), «Don’t be shy» (G.Kontrafouris Trio), «Breaking loose» (S.Vougas Quartet), «Too close» (G. Kontrafouris Trio ), «Let the blues talk» (T.Paterelis Quintet).Absence (J.Papatriantafilou)
He is teaching double and electric bass for the last 25 years at Nakas Conservatory.

“Absence” is his first personal release in 2016.
